Key Committee in Annapolis, Voting Record

Bills of interest to Deep Creek Lake property owners, users and those concerned about health and sustainability of all Maryland owned lake will come before the Senate Education, Health and Environmental Affairs Committee in the coming weeks. This committee is holding the hearing on February 14 on the Friends of DCL initiated State Lakes Protection and Restoration Fund, the fiscal mechanism for allocation of state funds for Deep Creek Lake and the other state-owned lakes.

Here is a spreadsheet on this key committee with information on how to contact them as well as how they voted in the FoDCL initiated State Lakes Invasive Species Bill in 2015.  GAEHEA2017members .

Given interest of lake stakeholders on the fracking issue, you can all see that all members of this Committee in 2015 voted for a 2 year moratorium on fracking in the state of Maryland and directing of Maryland Department of Environment to develop regulations.
